“Traveling. It leaves you speechless, then turn you into a storyteller” – Battuta.

For a visual person like me the best stories are the ones documented by an unique collection of pictures, moments suspended in time, tiny little piece of a wonderful world captured through a viewfinder.

Travel (on the top ten of my passions) + photography (at the 2nd place) = Ileana at her best 😉

On my bucket list there was California. San Francisco, Yosemite, Sequoia, the southern coast… wow!

“Brake the rules and you go to prison, break the prison rules and you go to Alcatraz”

Fascinating, scary and creepy – I had goosebumps during the entire documented visit

I think I took about 200 pictures of these guys – I could have watched them for hours!!!

Love the architecture and most of all the fire escapes

Next stop: Sequoia National Park: the dramatic landscape testifies to nature’s size, beauty, and diversity

Traveling with great company is the best: my brother and I planned this trip to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. My niece and nephew are my favorite kids in the entire world, so cool.

Yosemite National Park: an icon of America’s majestic natural beauty

The colorful outfit of the kid really stood out in the middle of this rock museum. I purposely cropped out most of the vegetation nearby to create an apocalyptic scene

No matter the magnificent surrounding, you can’t bit the young people cell phone’s obsession

50 years of happily ever after. I wish every couple could have the kind of love my parents found

In top of the world: a 360° view

The road trip continues: down the coast to Santa Cruz

The enchanting water of the Pacific: despite its freezing temperature we went scuba diving with seals and sea lions – the best!

I wasn’t expecting to see so many fields of fruits and vegetables in California. Nothing can’t beat juicy strawberries and the best fried artichokes I ever had in my life

I LOVE this photo sequence.

Simply obsessed with these animals

Orange lichens and intricate branches: a fairytale scene

The grey sky and fog added a mysterious feel to the stunning Point Reyes National Park

Big Sur: winding turns, seaside cliffs, a dramatic misty coastline

Sea elephants…
Wild zebras… wait a minute, are we still in California?!?

The one and only Santa Barbara

And finally, Craig and I 🙂
