It's the last day of the year, so much has happened in 2013: the Royal Baby is born, Nelson Mandela, Margaret Tatcher and Hugo Chavez died, Gay marriage became legal in England, New Zealand, France and Brazil, Pope Benedict resigned, I turned 40, Attimi Photography came to life
It has been a real pleasure to photograph the wedding of Kari and Mark: I loved the location, the unique Casa Grande, the delicate decoration, the elegant dress, the fantastic shoes and, above all, the sweet couple and their lovely guests. The windy was blowing like it never did before but there was not time to care about it... the joy to get married couldn't be spoiled. I feel particularly privileged to have been chosen as their wedding photographer: despite being together for 4 years, Kari and Mark don't have any pictures of the 2 of them as a couple... problem solved!
What a spectacular wedding! A stunning bride, a handsome groom, a beautiful setting, a dip in the pool, delicious food, flowers, music, presents, tequila shots, dances, fireworks and lots and lots of fun! I had the pleasure to meet Natisha and David last March and , during the engagement session, we spoke about their wedding's vision... high expectations?!? All exceeded!
Trash the dress sessions: my favourites! I certainly love to photograph the emotion and happiness of a bride and groom during the wedding, but the playful, sexy, fashion-inspired, relaxed, "day after" shoot let my imagination run wild. I would have loved to Pauline and Heath's wedding photographer but, as I was already booked on their special day, they offered me the opportunity to capture their love the day after. From Blue Hills to Sapodilla Bay, we had a blast!
Venue: Royal West Indies; Wedding planner: Teresa Brunner, Tropical Destination Management; Flowers: Environmenta Arts, Hair and Make-up: Shenique Higgs, Sheque Perfection. A stylish bride, an easy going groom, loving parents, fun guests, a sunny afternoon, a small rainbow, a beautiful sunset, a magical night: this is the wedding of Jason and Angie.
Planning a big wedding, with lots of guests, traditions and festivities can be very stressful. To avoid all the fuss and truly enjoy each other company, Christina and Angelo chose to elope to the beautiful Turks and Caicos: the sand between the toes, tho soothing sounds of the ocean, the heat of the Caribbean, the contemporary atmosphere of the Gansevoort Resort, a lot of love - perfect! After an emotional ceremony on the beach, planned in every detail by Dorell Delancey, Destination TCI, the couple and I jumped in the car to "spice up" the photo shoot, adding colourful backgrounds and the unique sceneries of Provo.
"I was talking politic and she was sitting close to me; then she opened her mouth... and the rest is history" - that's how Kwame described following in love with beautiful Alexis. Behind the fancy braids, the mesmerizing eyes and the contagious laugh, there is a clever brain and a bubbling personality, that he simply couldn't resist. Next March I'll be the lucky photographer that will capture their beach inspired wedding, a ceremony that will unite them forever. I can't wait! A special thanks to The Regent Palms for allowing us to capture their engagement session on site.
On December 14th 2013 Christina and Wayne will get married in the beautiful island of Grand Turk. The wedding theme is "Winter Wonderland": the flower girls will be snow girls, the sand ceremony will be replace by a snow flakes union, the tropical island will be for the first time a winter setting... something new, something blue, certainly something original! Their engagement session had to be "wintery" too... what a challenge when the sun is shining and the temperature is 85°F! A white sweater, a leather jacket, a couple of scarves and a bit of fantasy. Her easy solution?!? Just call Ileana at Attimi Photography ;-)
Travelling to an exotic location is always fun, each place is special and every moment is unforgettable... but the honeymoon tops them all. Krista and Ross celebrated their wedding on the beautiful coast of Texas, and chose the pristine Turks and Caicos's beaches to relax, get pampered, discover and appreciate the caribbean lifestyle. Just before the sun disappeared behind the horizon, I photographed their love story and the beginning of a very happy married life.
Bringing the wedding gown and the black tuxedo was Michael's idea; picking up the phone and search for the perfect photographer was Sarah's task. In no time the photo shoot was arranged and a collection of beautiful honeymoon pictures was created. We had a great time together, chatting, laughing, sharing stories and experiences. The appointment with the "Fish Fry" festival had to be delayed a bit simply because it was too fun to play in the water, "wetting" the dress with lots of love.
