cabaret-tciThe Turks & Caicos are famous for the magnificent beaches, the spectacular colors of the ocean, and the "welcome to paradise" feel. But those islands have so much more to offer, including a talented population and some amazing charity foundations. After the smash success of the July presentation, CABARET is back on the Brayton Hall stage. Directed and choreographed by my fabulous friend Ainara Varela Pino, the show deserveed the standing ovation. A special thank you to Ainara, David, Tina, Tamara, Lucy, Samantha, Josie, Amy, Rashmi, Nathalie, Steve and the TCFAF (Turks and Caicos Friend of the Arts Foundation). They raised a whooping $2915 for the TCSPCA (Turks and Caicos Society for prevention of cruelty to animals) and they had a ball!

wedding_coconut_villa_turks_caicosHappy, hot, intimate, special: it's Lesli and Chris wedding at Coconut Beach Villa Turks & Caicos. Let's elaborate: happy: just take a look at the bride, no further comment needed; hot - after a rainy morning the sky cleared up for the wedding celebration but the humidity was crazy (luckily I was on the other side of the camera, sweating like a little pig on the fire). Intimate: only 10 guests attended the wedding, but their love for the couple was enormous. Special: "He felt now that he was not simply close to her, but that he did not know where he ended and she began".

wedding_alexandra_turks_caicosJust a few days ago, Jessica and Philip celebrated their  beautiful wedding at the Alexandra Turks & Caicos. Their plan to elope changed when 6 great friends chose to fly to the island to enjoy a sunny vacation and witness the couple's special day. A lace dress with a vintage touch for the bride, a fine and dandy look for the groom, the one and only Grace Bay beach, conch shells, bougainvilleas and the magical appearance of a mermaid - what a wedding!

amanyara_weddingIt looks like a romantic fairytale, but this Amanyara Wedding is all real. Located at the western shore of Providenciales, Amayara offers the ultimate luxury experience in a nature's lover paradise. A peaceful Caribbean retreat graced by white sand beaches, where exchanging your wedding vows is truly unforgettable. Paula and Robert eloped to the Turks and Caicos to celebrate one of the happiest day of their lives. I loved how the groom never stopped complimenting his bride, how his eyes sparkled with love, and how he saw her as the most beautiful, special, wonderful woman on the entire universe.

destination_wedding_turksA Turks & Caicos Destination Wedding often has a long list of vendors to organize, assist, guarantee and provide all the services that a bride and groom may need on their special day. Quyen and Andrew chose a DIY wedding, offering themselves and their guests a fantastic day, full of love, joy, dances and laughters. Every detail was planned to perfection, and everyone contributed to the success of the day: I never saw a party of 78 people get in position for the group shot as fast! Grace Bay beach, right in front of the Sibonne Hotel, offered a long stretch of powdery sand to host the ceremony and the reception. Kissing Fish catered the delicious beach Barbeque, and DJ Dayoh created the right vibe to keep every person dancing all night long.

inlakesh-november_ileana Today is a very special day: my story and pictures have been published in the November issue of In Lakesh Magazine! The cover story and 12 editorial pages speak about my work, my passion and I. I'm so excited!!! When Sylvie Duvnjak, the founder of In Lakesh Magazine, contacted me to share some pictures and an interview, for a moment I thought she made a mistake. But it was all real! She described my photography as "incredibly original and beautiful", adding that "every image seems to transport you somewhere special". My life as been a little tough in the past few months, so this article comes at a perfect mood and self esteem booster. I'm so grateful!

But let's speak about the magazine: In Lakesh (in lak’ech); Mayan origin, roughly translates as “you are me, I am you” or “you are another me” therefore “we are one.”

In Lakesh Magazine’s mission is to create greater and stronger unity among people from every corner of the world.  This online publication truly has a beating heart. Its content comes from diversified individuals who care immensely for the cause of “unity” and “equality.”
