She has been a friend of mine for years and I can assure you she is an amazing person, a sweet and caring mom, a fun, hippie, easy going and a little crazy (in the good way!) beautiful French woman.
The idea for this unique photo shoot was born thinking about a film noir, vintage, fashion-inspired and sexy style. The location made the mix just perfect, making the images more personal and fabulous (Laure is a professional pilot).
Congratulations to the newlyweds, Ida and Li! I don't often have the chance to photograph a friend's wedding, so when Li asked me to capture his simple and beautiful Turks and Caicos beach wedding, I was honored and excited.
Li is an amazing artist and great cinematographer, he usually stands next to me to film and create romantic and upbeat wedding videos. Seeing him on the other side of the camera, promising to love Ida for the rest of his life, was exciting and moving.
Tradition sees the bride taking most wedding decisions, but the groom involvement and expertise added a special romantic touch to the event: he surprised Ida with a crown and a bouquet of sunflowers, he added the silver charms to her braids, he picked her jewellery, the music, and the "touch of yellow". Way to go Li!
