No matter how many times you come back to the island, having a wonderful family time in Provo is practically guaranteed. My friend Rita spent several years in the Turks and Caicos before moving back to Canada, but a piece of her heart still belongs to this beautiful "rock" in the Caribbean sea - or shall I call it "gem"?!?

The hours playing in the water, the sunshine, the dinners cooked together, the laughters and the games are the favorite family's moments. A staged family portrait on the beach may not be part of the list but it's certainly save beautiful memories, giving an extra excuse to the family spend time together and hug a little tighter.

turks-caicos-familyTo celebrate their parents 50th wedding anniversary, Jana, Amy and Thomas planned a family portrait to remember forever their family vacation in the Turks and Caicos. The beautiful Sapodilla Bay and the garden area of Villa la Koubba offered us a perfect background. I was able to deliver the images to the family prior their return home and I received this wonderful message in return: "Thank you so much for the amazing photographs of our family.  We will truly treasure them forever.  Not only did they turn out great, the experience itself was wonderful.  My parents could not stop talking all week about how fantastic you were.  My dad even said he would go back to Provo just to have you do more family photos." So happy!

Turks_family_portraitWhat a gorgeous family! When they stepped out of the car to greet me I felt like my lucky start was shining bright and strong - can my job can get any better?!? I have a sweet spot for toddlers but I admit that I can easily give up the silly games, the tears, the candy's bribing and the workout, to have a blast photographing a beautiful family with "grown up kids". I love their smiles as much as the serious faces. I like the outfits and the relaxed but stylish poses. Only one question floats in the air: "you haven't left yet, but when are you coming back?!?

Sisters_Turks_CaicosWaking up at 5:15am is not my usual piece of cake... but to capture 6 little kids and 7 adults with a nice, soft light, the effort was certainly worth it. I loved the great outfits and accessories carefully chosen by the family, the children's cute faces, and the amazing smiles of the 3 sisters - how can you look so good at 6:00am?!? While the sun was rising on the other side of the island, we took advantage of the deserted beach in front of Villa Footprints: calm water, silence, cool temperature and absolutely nobody but us.
