If you could choose a place to visit over and over again, where would you go? For Amanda and Matt the answer it’s simple: the Turks and Caicos. The Islands, beautiful pearls in a turquoise sea, are their happy place: a home away from home, where to relax, soak in the sun, spend time on the beach, explore, scuba dive, meet friends and enjoy life. This year the travelling challenges imposed by the pandemic, changed the couple’s plan 5 times, but they made it 🙂

Amanda and Matt recently celebrated 25 years of marriage and, even if no special reason is needed to book a plane ticket to Provo, it was the perfect occasion to capture a collection of memorable Turks and Caicos photos. We started the photo shoot at The Palms, in the heart of Grace Bay, and then moved to the secluded Leeward Beach.

Inspired by a vibrant gown featured on my Instagram page, and by my What to Wear Guide, Amanda chose a stunning fuschia dress: a perfect touch of color to contrast the surrounding background. 

Amanda says: “The beach is my happy place , as a child you couldn’t keep me out of the water. My mom, just today, was talking about the fact that I kept swimmers ear because I stayed under water. There is something so serene to me when I look at the beach/ ocean.

When we first came to TCI and drove from the airport, I couldn’t believe the color of the sky, it’s as if the turquoise water reflects its shades on the sky. I love the small quaintness of the island. The water is everything to me.”

The cloudy sky reduced the shadows and contrasts, flattering the subjects but toning down the beautiful colors that identify the islands. The TCI are synonymous of blue and turquoise so we agreed to get together the following morning for a second serie of Turks and Caicos photos.

I love the combination of glamour and relax of this image. Like the couple: not just attractive and stylish, but genuine, kind and simply amazing!

Amanda and Matt found many friends in the local community and, after just a few hours spent together, I’m proud to be part of them. 

“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to a new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.”
