A change of plans is the theme of most weddings this year. When the big event in Belize had to be revised, Christian and Steve had to find a new location…. “where shall we get married”? Destination TCI it is! Yes, because the Turks and Caicos are easily accessible from the States (even if you come all the way from California), the summer temperature is guaranteed all year around, and the beaches are among the best in the world.

The day passed by in a blink of an eye, but I’m sure they will never forget about it.

Particularly touching was the heartfelt ceremony of Pastor Sherlock Padmore, so I want to start this blog post with the tip he gave to the bride and groom just before announcing the couple officially married.

“Many inexperienced couples tend to think of marriage as a 50/50 proposition, but the best are 90/10, each of you give 90 and expect 10 in return. In marriages people like to tell you how to design your marriage based on what worked for them, please only use what works for you. Look out for each other celebrate the small things and don’t sweat the big ones. Whenever you are in a room, whether it is a group of 50 or 5000 ensure you make each other feel as if they are the most important person in the room. Ensure you never stop dating because if you do, you will think you have to set a wedding date and by the time you realize it, you would have been married for 25 or 30 years”.

Let’s review the day from the beginning…

Christian, the gorgeous bride, does not like to be the centre of attention… to her help came her adorable daughter and mom.

She really tried to keep it together…

…but the emotion was too strong. I love it!

Out of Ebony Man, Steve, the handsome groom…

…and his faithful crew.

Destination TCI… but where to stay? Villa Byculla in Leeward is the winner!

Christian looked absolutely stunning on the wedding gown.

She reminds me of a young and beautiful version of J.Lo

What to expect from a 2 years old? Absolutely nothing, she will do whatever she wants 😉

A special thanks goes to Keisha and the Destination TCI team. I love the setup they chose for the ceremony.

It’s finally time to get married!

Here she comes…

A Zoom call and the distance get shorter. Everyone did their best to share the special moment with the beloved ones that could not attend the wedding… well, almost everyone!

I captured a few pictures of the family, but this one is my favorite as it makes me laugh

And finally, just before dinner, let’s get wet and salty. The fabulous dress may not leave the island after all…
