This is the story of a greatly planned Turks and Caicos Marriage Proposal; a story that, just like life, is not always as we expect but nevertheless it's wonderful.
Sinan contacted me at the beginning of February planning to ask Dilara's hands in May. Then the pandemic struck and the plan changed, not once, but 2,3,4,5 or perhaps 20 times. Emails, texts, phone calls, reservations... the excitement and a little nervousness grew with the passing of time.

It’s no secret that it’s been a trying time for many in the Turks & Caicos since March, when our islands closed our borders and went into lockdown for four months. For some, those trying times began long before the Covid pandemic. But for every story of pain and hardship, there’s another one of love, kindness and compassion. And that’s what this story is about. Since April, the Turks & Caicos Salvation Army and its volunteers have been working tirelessly to ensure the people of our islands have food on their tables. And Attimi Photography had the great honor of joining this team of volunteers to help not only prepare and distribute food to those in need, but also to document the process and spread awareness of the Salvation Army’s valuable work behind the scenes.
The 2020 brought us a completely new reality, an unrecognisable world that hides our smiles behind masks. It's in the people's eyes that we find beautiful souls and feelings: just focus on the bright side, happiness and love are everywhere. The latest "cherry on the cake", or better, the "succulent chocolate delight", is a fantastic Amanyara Wedding that united Kristen and Brian forever.
I love stories, especially when told by the person that experienced them. So let's hear it form Kristen:
"We were originally planning a small intimate wedding in Costa Rica with our family and closest friends. Then Covid hit and we realized at the rate of how things were progressing we wouldn’t be able to get married for years! So we decided to just elope now!
We did a quick search as to what countries would accept Americans and who also had low Covid cases. It was also a requirement to go to a place neither of us have ever been! Turks and Caicos was the winner!!
We started researching special places on the islands. We figured since it was only the two of us we would splurge!! And... that we did!!! Wowsers! Amanyara is a dream!!
