Can you plan your wedding in a week, leave your guests speechless, make your heart skip a beat and have the time of your life? Of course you can! This amazing couple transformed their winter getaway into an fabulous wedding at Villa Triton Turks & Caicos. Their original destination wedding date was set for November, in a beautiful private island in the Florida Keys. The celebration was going to be breathtaking but the passage of hurricane Irma in September destroyed the island, as well as the couple's plan. From an island to the other, the trip to Providenciales offered to perfect occasion to transform a beautiful vacation into a spectacular wedding.

The Palms Weddings: for the couples who dream of a fairy tale beach wedding in Turks and Caicos. Soft, powdery sand underfoot, fragrant sea breezes and the soothing sound of the waves. The Palms is an exquisite 72-suite resort spanning 12 acres at the heart of Grace Bay Beach – consistently ranked among the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world. From initial setup, floral design and decoration, to a range of gourmet dining options, The Palms professional staff will be happy to tailor-make your day to your precise wishes.

"Babe, can you pinch me ? WOW, so this is actually happening and not some typical nerissaboooooring dream.  Finally not only a dream that’s not boring, but a dream that is coming true." - the bride. Nerissa & Richard' s Wedding at Bay Bistro Turks & Caicos was a fun, gorgeous, intimate event, just like everything she wished for. Fun, because everyone had a wonderful time; gorgeous, just look at the couple!; intimate, only the closest family members attended the celebration, showing emotions, tiers, care and affection. My favorite part?!? Besides photographing the most 2 good looking persons ever, I loved their vows: truly personal, a little quirky and incredibly similar.

"It's all about the people: we don't care about having pictures of our rings, the dress, the details, we want you to photograph our the event as it unfolds, capturing our guests having a fun". That's how Dana and Mark asked me to photograph their Villa Triton Wedding - so I did. But that's not the only reason why this isn't an unusual wedding: most couples come to the Turks and Caicos to get married on the beach, or at least walk on it after the ceremony; no sand between the toes in this case. Dana and Mark welcomed their guests in short and t-shirt, but changed in a matter of minutes in a stunning gown and an elegant suit (minus the pants, left in Florida by accident, ops!). The couple surprised their guests with the music of a fabulous live band: trust me, the party could not get any better.

Wedding trends come and go, but some things will always be in style, including all-white events like Hellen and Reggie's Wedding at Blue Heaven Turks and Caicos. A fabulous dress, shining heels, white sunglasses, a touch of tan, lots of love, family, friends, and dances, dances and more dances. Good to know: Wedding Coordinator: Shauna Wilson at Blue Heaven Turks and Caicos; bouquets and centre pieces: Flowers by EA; reception venue and food: Fire and Ice; makeup artist: Thea Makeup Artistry; music: Prime DJs.

What do you do when it rains on your wedding day? You roll with it and have a blast! Alana and Bradley's wedding at Villa Footprints on the beach was an amazing, fun, romantic, wet event. It rained during the preparation, sprinkled at the ceremony, poured during the reception, but at every drop the couple got a little close, laugh a little more and  kissed a little longer. Bradley was Alana's high school sweetheart... then life simply happened. Fast forward 9 years he found her on Facebook, asked her out, started a long distance relationship, moved in together... and the rest is history. Now he signs his email with the signature "Two madly IN LOVE , The Johnson's" - I love it!

Sandra and Julio planned to board the Atabeyra, set sail for a private beach ceremony, enjoy food and drinks while cruising along the Turks & Caicos shores 'till sunset. But plans and dreams do not always come true. Hurricane Irma forced the couple to opt for Plan B: a simple and beautiful Leeward Beach wedding. The deserted beach welcomed the newlyweds and their friends for the intimate ceremony, while Mango Reef Restaurant hosted the dinner party. They were surrounded by turquoise water and the sunset colours... after all, dreams come true.

I'm delighted to share this styled fashion Turks and Caicos photo shoot with professional model Madison Morgan. A combination of colors, trend, beauty, sexiness and island vibe. When Scott first contacted the fabulous Shenique, at Sheque Style, to style his girlfriend's Turks and Caicos photo shoot, little did we know that we were going to work with a stunning model. Shenique chose the outfits, picked the trend, look and style for the fashion shoot. We then discussed the locations, backgrounds and feel of the images. A perfect cooperation with amazing results.

Destination weddings are beautiful but often the traditional elements are sacrificed and left at home. Not this time. Lauren and Sal’s Wedding at Beach House Turks & Caicos brought a touch of Persia to the Islands, filling the day with joy, colors, smiles and ceremonial traditions  that have been practiced for thousand of years. One of my favorite is the Kalleh Ghand (sugar cones): during the ceremony happily married woman rub the cones together over the “ghand cloth” while held over the couple’s head to shower their life and marriage with sweetness.

Writing a wedding post after the passage of hurricane Irma feels strange: the devastation and sadness are hard to face, but the Turks and Caicos survived the monster. One day everything will be repaired and shining just like the sun. Thanks to all the beautiful people that are working hard to restore, help, clean and rebuild, hurricane Irma will be simply a good lesson and another story to tell. Borrowing my friend's electricity (I have no power nor internet connection at my home and studio), I'm pleased to share Erin and Rob's wedding at the Alexandra Resort, on Grace Bay. They have been waring patiently for their wedding pictures and finally I can share a few of them with you. We all need a reason to smile and think about happy days, past and future.
