I’ve been a wedding photographer for 14 years and, ’till last month, I was proud to say that only once I had full event in the rain. Two more wet weddings joined the list, but the last one could not be any happier. Alicia and Dan didn’t stop being positive for a minute: even when the sky turned pitch black at 5:30pm, and the storm felt like an hurricane, all they cared about was to get married.
Fortunately we had a back up plane to capture the sunshine of the Turks and Caicos, a small island tour and a fabulous Trash the Dress session. Wedding photography can be so much fun… and wet!
First stop: Blue Hills, Providenciales.
Alicia has been to the Turks and Caicos 7 times already but she never explored this part of the island. I love the authentic and natural feel of it, the vibrant colours of the buildings, the leading lines of the dock (a Provo landmark), the trees and rustic touch.
Relaxed, romantic, sun-kissed
Fashion expired and energetic
Intimate…
…and fun!
Four days after the wedding, the bouquet still looked pristine – well done to Flowers by EA!
A special thanks goes to Lynne at Nila Destinations for the excellent wedding planning.
Those pictures are certainly different from the traditional wedding photography standards, but that’s one of the main reason I love them!
The extra time with the couple allowed me to get to know them much better – what a pleasure!
Behind Alicia’s sweet smile there is “tough cookie”: this girl can run a marathon without breaking a sweat.
Second stop: Leeward beach – always my favourite
Just before the wedding ceremony, Dan said we could get married in the pool, as long as they did it. This photograph just reminded of that 😉
Another storm on the way… an amazing contrast between the turquoise of the water and the blue sky
In Turks and Caicos, you don’t really “trash the dress“, but certainly you make it wet
That’s why is called “Fun and Wet Wedding Photography”! Alicia & Dan you are the best!

Love these! The ones at the end with the water flying in the air are my favorites!

I love them all, but the ones in the water are my favorites!
