fun_wedding_photographyI've been a wedding photographer for 14 years and, 'till last month, I was proud to say that only once I had full event in the rain. Two more wet weddings joined the list, but the last one could not be any happier. Alicia and Dan didn't stop being positive for a minute: even when the sky turned pitch black at 5:30pm, and the storm felt like an hurricane, all they cared about was to get married. Fortunately we had a back up plane to capture the sunshine of the Turks and Caicos, a small island tour and a fabulous Trash the Dress session. Wedding photography can be so much fun... and wet!

regent_grand_turksTurks & Caicos: a Regent Grand Wedding, an elopement, a Trash the Dress, an unforgettable day and so much more. This is story of Erin and Eddie's wedding: a beautiful and original couple that chose to combine the elegance of the Regent Grand, with the natural setting of Leeward beach; the traditional wedding dress, with a dip in the water; a special old ring, with a sparkling new diamond. Erin is a great photographer (no pressure on me ;-)); with the job it comes the reluctance of being on the other side of the camera. But just take a look at her: she is gorgeous! My silly jokes and enthusiasm, her wedding glow, and certainly Eddie's loving presence, made her relax and look like the cover of a bridal magazine.

TTD_Turks_CaicosThere is a dress for every occasion: one for the wedding, one for the reception, one for the honeymoon and one for diving in the Turks and Caicos turquoise water. Yes, Kristin had 4 fabulous wedding gowns to celebrate her special day. To add some fun, artsy, extravagant, daring, passion-filled images to their wedding collection, Kristin and Miguel booked a Trash the Dress session. A friendly atmosphere and the will to play are at the base of this great shoot: so if the hair gets soaked after the first jump, you shake them off, smile and go with the flow... isn't it guys?!?

wedding_fashion_turksI'm very excited to post this collection of fashion-inspired pictures: I love the edgy feel, the vibrant colours, the travel magazine' style, the locations choice, the incredible beauty of the bride, and the moody expressions of the groom. Tracie and Will got married on the biggest resort in the Turks and Caicos, Beaches Resort and Spa: to add some "spice" to their traditional wedding pictures, they booked a trash the dress session the day after the big day. She looks like a model and my passion for fashion went wild!

Turks_Caicos_couple_photographyRajni and Michael got married last December in Toronto; their immediate families joined them for a small and intimate civil ceremony, followed by a delicious dinner. Her emerald cocktail dress and the freezing Canadian winter weren't a perfect match so the couple chose to postpone their photography session and schedule it during their honeymoon in the Turks and Caicos. It is with great pleasure that I captured this special moment of their lives, creating a beautiful coffee-table book to treasure forever. Rajni and Michael gave me the permission to share their album pages with you: "open it" (each set of images is a double spread page) and discover the love story of this gorgeous couple.

Attimi_trash_dressTrash the dress sessions: my favourites! I certainly love to photograph the emotion and happiness of a bride and groom during the wedding, but the playful, sexy, fashion-inspired, relaxed, "day after" shoot let my imagination run wild. I would have loved to Pauline and Heath's wedding photographer but, as I was already booked on their special day, they offered me the opportunity to capture their love the day after. From Blue Hills to Sapodilla Bay, we had a blast!

Brides and grooms want awesome imagery from their wedding, period. They want the unscripted moments captured, but they also want a photographer that can offer a creative, edgy, fun, fashion-inspired collection of pictures. Here comes the Trash the Dress session, on the top ten of my favorite shoots. Muffy and Bryan truly played the game, without the fear of getting a little dirty and completely soaked. Jumping in the Turks and Caicos water isn't too hard after all...

The latest trend in wedding photography is the "trash the dress" shoot however, when the gown is too precious for the bride, there is no reason to spoil it. Anna, Nick and I took a tour around the island to create a collection of colourful images that will complete their wedding album. A Turks and Caicos experience is sunny, fun, vibrant, wild and so worth living it.
