Wow! That’s the first word that comes to my mind when describing this fantastic Shore Club Wedding, The combination of the Turks and Caicos’ natural beauty and the stunning settings of The Shore Club Resort, made Mayra and Mark’s elopement truly unforgettable.

I loved everything about it, most of all the way Mark looked at Mayra. His words posted on Instagram made me smile with joy:  “I never knew that life could be this good. I am filled with gratitude to have met such a kind, thoughtful and humble young lady. Best of all she never realized how beautiful she is. Therefore she doesn’t know she’s out of my league”.

I think they are perfect for each other!

Before I reveal the beautiful photos, let’s hear if from Mayra and Mark – I love stories!

“We met by chance and the timing was perfect. From the broken lock on the public restroom that prompted Mayra to warn Mark of the imminent dangers associated with being walked in on. To the timing in our lives we were each ready to find each other. To put our best foot forward in a relationship and to know from experience how important building a good foundation together is. We found together what we did not know was possible. A partnership where we improve each others lives and we do not put each other down or fight for the sake of fighting. We can count on one hand how many notable disagreements we have had and that’s all they became were disagreements. That we worked through and heard each other calmly.

We like to joke about how Mayra made the first, second and third move and it’s very true. That said Mark was enamoured by her from the moment they met.

After seeing each other for 2 years we moved in a year ago in October 2019. About 6 months later, the proposal in the Japanese Botanical Gardens of Portland Oregon came completely as a surprise. This time Mark made the move.

We both wanted to get married somewhere tropical with crystal blue waters like our favorite Island Culebra near where Mark works in Puerto Rico. Mayra always dreamed of going to Fiji and Mark loved the idea. When Covid 19 hit, the whens and hows started to pile up. Finally we decided to just go in the Fall. Make it the two of us and make it flexible. If travel problems arose then we would just change the venue or the date. Fiji however was not accepting Americans for entry.

Mark had a good friend that lived in Turks and Caicos for some time and this friend has good taste in beaches. After some research we decided we couldn’t go wrong in Turks and Caicos.

On November 23rd 2020, after a small ceremony in Las Vegas with 7 people (immediate family), we said our vows before sunset on the real world elyseum of Leeward beach. While the sun set, our smiles were ear to ear. Yes we were cheesing hard. In love, blessed and grateful for the time we have had, the day and the next chapter of our lives together.”

Mayra’s beauty was enhanced by the talented Shenique – Sheque Perfection

Suspended between sky and ocean, it’s the stunning view from The Shore Club in Long Bay

One of my favourite First Look ever!

A Shore Club Wedding offers infinite photo ops

To capture the sunset, we headed to Leeward Beach for the ceremony, celebrated by the one and only Pastor Sherlock Padmore

The strong wind, the cloudy sky and the rough sea didn’t spoil the magic of this beautiful day

We thought we were done… but the best had yet to come!

The following day we decided to capture the turquoise colors of the Turks and Caicos, taking a dip in the ocean to “trash the dress”. So much fun!

Hold my hand and let’s walk fovere together, till we reach the horizon
