Who says mermaids only existed in fairytales? We had our very own here in Turks and Caicos when this beautiful family went all out with their fabulous mermaid tails. The family spent their vacation at the Tuscany on Grace Bay, and blew everybody out of the water with their outfit choice. The idea came to them from their previous trip to Turks and Caicos, when the youngest girl, befriended another visitor who just so happened to be swimming in a mermaid tail of her own. From that moment on, Cecily was completely taken by the concept, and so her grandmother had the wonderful idea of getting them for the entire family.

What started off as a playful joke, made by the eldest daughter, turned into reality when they decided to have their family photo shoot as mermaids. Even the men took part in the festivity!

Josh moved from Hawaii to Utah where he met Dan... and the rest is history. As simple as that.

The couple celebrated their wedding in Salt Lake City last Sunday: a beautiful backyard event, with a black, white and gold theme. They chose not to document their special day with a lot of pictures, but to treasure precious moments of their Turks & Caicos Honeymoon with a romantic photo shoot around the island. From Grace Bay, to Long Bay and Leeward beach: sunshine, clouds, a tiny bit of rain, crazy wind, crushing waves and an all lot of love.

engagement_photo_turks_caicosIf mentioning a tropical destination wedding is not in half to convince family and friends to book a flight ticket, your Turks & Caicos Engagement photos certainly will. Blue water, powdery sand and a colourful sunset, announce a relaxing and happy vacation. Lauren and Matt will share their wedding vows at The Somerset on Grace Bay next May. Island's habitués, always eager to fly to a Caribbean destination, the couple planned a weekend of meetings, viewing and food tasting to ensure an amazing, big, beautiful wedding.

babymoon_turks_caicosBefore your life is changed forever, when countless sleepless nights are just a vague concept and your selection of clothes includes only the cutest - very impractical ones, treat yourself to a Turks and Caicos babymoon. Sunshine, sand on your toes, ocean breeze and salty water work like a charm. Preeya and Akhil chose the Seven Stars on Grace Bay for their romantic, relaxing and unforgettable Turks and Caicos babymoon. I had the pleasure to meet and photograph them just a few hours after they landed on island, before any tan lines had the chance to show up on her perfect skin.

turks_caicos_beach_shootYesterday I stumbled upon a blog post, titled The mommy after: 10 Postpartum Surprises:  "They say females are the stronger sex because we can birth babies. But, are women warriors because they deal with the aches and pains of pregnancy and labor or because they can look in the mirror after delivery and deal with its physical aftermath?". Shannon is a lucky, or better determined, strong, motivated, hard working, beautiful mother, who can rock her body on the beach after giving birth to gorgeous girls. She promised she would pose for the camera in her bikini and she did: her Turks and Caicos beach shoot is nothing but stunning.

family_pictures_palms_turksA year ago I had the chance to meet and to photograph this gorgeous family during their tropical vacation. We had a great time together, so I was very excited to see them again and to take their Family Pictures at The Palms Turks & Caicos. The kids got a little taller, the parents more beautiful, the settings always fantastic, and myself a little fatter... We staged the first set of family pictures in the iconic entrance of The Palms, moved to the spa entrance and then run to the beach to capture the colours of the water and the sunset on Grace Bay. I love the outfits choice: a touch of blue for everyone, some white and pink - picture perfect!

family_winter_escape_turks_caicosWhat to do when the weather gets too cold and the snow keeps falling? Plan a Family winter escape to Turks and Caicos! Even when the monster storm influences the Caribbean, it's much better to take a walk on a sandy beach at 70°, then to scrape the ice from the car windows ;-) I met this beautiful family last year (click on family portrait to view it) and I was excited to photograph them again. We planned the photo shoot at sunrise on the Seven Stars dock, on Grace Bay: we envisioned a collection of family pictures sitting on the beams, walking across them, laying on the side of the dock. Mother nature didn't agree with our plan and surprised use with big crashing waves, that covered most of the beach and brought a lot of sand under the dock. Oh well, we embraced the situation and make the best of it, capturing precious of the Family winter escape to Turks and Caicos.

engagement_turks_caicosAlyssa and Jesus recently got engaged after a lovely trip to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. The island has a special place in their heart (the amazing turquoise water is hard to beat), so they booked another short visit and planned their first professional photo shoot: a romantic engagement session.

From Grace Bay to Leeward beach, with a stop on the Seven Stars dock and the garden area of The Regent Palms.

The couple will  get married in the lush island of St Lucia next year.  Sadly I’ll not be their photographer but I have not doubt the wedding will be fabulous. Just look at them!

romantic_wedding_turksDandan envisioned her wedding as a romantic, dreamy, soft and beautiful fairytale. Inspired by Style Me Pretty, she chose pastel colours and silver, a multi tiered gown, a precious belt (her creation), fine details and the unique setting of the Seven Stars on Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos. Despite the difference between Attimi Photography' signature style (vibrant colours, strong images and defined contrasts) and her delicate vision, she carefully selected me to be her wedding photographer. Delighted by her choice, I used my heart, soul and passion to create a collection of images that Dandan and Philippe would love. A challenge is always welcomed in my word, so I embraced and I'm very proud of the result. Sit down, take your time, look at the pictures (lots of them!) and let me know what you think about...
